vildkêp is now on Android

Since the day we launched vildkêp on the App Store, the single most common message in our inbox has been a variation of the same thing: "My partner has an Android — when can they use it too?" Today we can finally give you the answer we've been waiting to give: vildkêp is now available on Android. You can download it free from Google Play right now.

It's the full app, not a stripped-back version — everything iOS families already love, built natively for Android phones and tablets.

The Android version of vildkêp has the same privacy-first adventure log, the same beautiful timeline, and full support for Partner Sync. That last point matters a lot: for families split across iPhone and Android, Partner Sync means you and your partner can finally keep one shared adventure log together, whichever phone each of you carries.

Why privacy matters even more on Android

One of the things we are most proud of about vildkêp is its privacy model. Your photos, notes, and location data are stored on your device by default. We do not quietly store your family memories on our servers. We do not train AI on your photos. We do not sell your data. This is just as true on Android as it is on iOS — and we think it matters even more in a world where many apps treat your family's most personal moments as a product.

On Android we use the platform's local storage to keep everything on-device by default. Your adventure log belongs to your family, and we will never change that without your explicit knowledge and consent.

How to get vildkêp on Android

Head to the vildkêp listing on Google Play, tap Install, and open the app — you can start logging your first adventure straight away, no account required. If your partner is on iPhone, install vildkêp there from the App Store and turn on Partner Sync to keep one shared log between you.
